The DDRA Kikuyu Grass Trial took a giant leap forward yesterday.
The Trial areas were rotary hoed using a Silvan Rotary Hoe donated by Matt Norman from FATE; Farm and Turf Equipment (WA). A rotary hoe is a perfect implement for turning hard clay soils into prepared garden beds or soils ready for new grass runners.
Even with the rain we had the day before, the DDRA Tractor and hoe worked hard to crack the ground open, turning it into a loose bed, thereby enhancing infiltration of fertiliser and rain into the ground as well as helping root growth.
Thanks for the use of your hoe and your ongoing encouragement and support, Matt for our first DDRA Grass Trail.
