Photo History of the  DDEE

“History is not a burden on the memory

but an illumination of the soul.”

– Lord Acton

Family and our Horsey Friends

Volunteers over the years

“History balances the frustration of “how far we have to go” with the satisfaction of “how far we have come.” It teaches us tolerance for the human shortcomings and imperfections which are not uniquely of our generation, but of all time.”

– Lewis F. Powell, Jr.

Past Busy Bee Projects

Scenes of the Past

“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture

is like a tree without roots.”

– Marcus Garvey

If you have old photos of family with your horses in the DDEE,

or volunteers at Busy Bees,

or just photos of how the DDEE looked many years ago.

Please contact our Secretary for details on how you can email the photos to the DDRA committee.

If the committee think they are appropriate and will be of interest to the Darling Downs Estate users,

we will add them to the photo gallery, for everyone to enjoy.
