Trail Signage Project - 2026

The Trail Signage Project has been developed to improve navigation, accessibility, and safety throughout the Darling Downs Equestrian Park (DDEP) trail network. As part of the first two phases of this project, 38 new signs have been installed at key points on the trails within the DDEP.  A map of the locations for the Phase 1 and 2 trail signs, along with pictures of each sign, is available at this link.

This network of signs introduces consistent trail names, location markers, and wayfinding information. These improvements will help users confidently explore the area, plan routes, and communicate locations more effectively. The project also supports emergency responders by providing clear reference points that can be easily shared when assistance is needed. Whether riding, walking, or enjoying the trails in other ways, visitors can now experience the network with greater confidence and ease.

The Darling Downs Residents Association (DDRA) and the community want to acknowledge the support of:

The WA Government, which proudly supported

this project by providing a grant of $ 25,000

Bendigo Bank also provided another grant

of $ 11,000 to support the community

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale

The contractors and suppliers who ensured the project's success.  This included:

  • Routers Australia, who did a wonderful job of sourcing the signboards and routing the information into the wood.

  • A2Z Signs, whose team worked hard to ensure that the fiddly job of painting the sign faces and lettering was done magnificently.

  • Rod’s Equine Solutions, who installed the signs very efficiently and professionally.

Last, but by no means least, numerous volunteers gave up their time and worked tirelessly to ensure that key aspects of the project were successfully achieved.

Thank you to everyone involved, and we hope that these new facilities will help make the DDEP better for everyone.
