The Darling Downs Estate has around 25 kilometres of bridle trails you can go horse riding with a friend or your friendly pooch. There are also riding groups that meet up and ride out together during the week and on weekends.
If you would like to join a group or start your own, you can post a message on our DDRA Facebook page where there are over 1,500 members.
The Darling Downs bridle trails link up into the Darling Ranges and down towards the Oakford bridle trails which extend another 30 or so kilometres, so you can really stretch yourself.
Most ridden horses are used to others walking past them, but if you have a dog, please have them under your control and move to one side to allow the other horse and rider to pass safely.
“Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self-esteem. They provide peace and tranquility to troubled souls,
they give us hope.”
